Tamarack Active Winglets Cleared for Takeoff
Tamarack is very pleased to announce that the FAA has approved a global Alternative Method of Compliance (AMOC).
All Active Winglet equipped CitationJets are free to fly again. This announcement comes on the heels of EASA resolution to flight restrictions imposed by its Emergency Airworthiness Directive (EAD).
The AMOC is an intermediate step meant to provide a way for the affected CitationJets to fly sooner than waiting for the final resolution of the AD, which will come later. The AMOC permits all aircraft in compliance with SB1480 to fly without the AD’s restrictions.
Proactive Tamarack Improvements and Upgrades
Safety and reliability of the Active Winglet system is paramount to Tamarack Aerospace. The product improvements required by SB1480 were available to customers free of charge prior to both EASA’s EAD and the FAA’s AD. We are pleased that both agencies have agreed that these improvements address the safety concern that prompted these actions.
Weathering the Storm with Strong Customer Support
We at Tamarack extend our deep and sincere appreciation to our amazing customers. We know this has been a very difficult period for all of our customers. We have heard firsthand stories of business opportunities missed, revenues lost, pain caused to partnerships, travel interrupted, and passengers stranded. In the midst of this challenge, our customers’ encouraging phone calls, emails, and forum posts have meant more than we can say. It is reassuring to know that our customers remain our biggest allies.
Tamarack Extends Warranties for those Affected by the AD
Tamarack has worked diligently to make the ATLAS equipment robust and reliable, and we stand behind our product. To show our gratitude to our customers, Tamarack is restarting the clock on the equipment warranty that came with the ATLAS installation. All existing customers will receive a new, supplemental warranty covering all electronic ATLAS equipment, regardless of when or where ATLAS was initially installed.
