Tamarack Aerospace Group, a dynamic and fast paced aircraft modification company, is seeking a highly motivated Certification Engineer II who desires to become part of a company involved in providing revolutionary improvements in the performance of business jets and beyond.
As a Certification Engineer with Tamarack Aerospace Group you can expect to work on the research and design of aircraft systems and structures, take part in flight test data acquisition and data reduction and analysis, and write technical certification documentation.

The candidate in this position will be responsible for documentation of compliance evidence to support Supplemental Type Certificate efforts under FAA or EASA Part 23 or Part 25 regulations or special conditions. Candidate will coordinate with outside organizations to understand and meet expectations and consistently produce documentation of a high quality.
The Certification Engineer will support the development and approval of test plans, analysis reports, test reports, process specifications and certification plans. The approval process will include presenting information and responding to questions from groups of colleagues (Production/Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering), managers, and certifying authorities.
Demonstrated knowledge of FAA regulations (Part 23 or Part 25) applicable to aircraft or STC certification efforts is required. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team via written and verbal communication is required.
Experience with aircraft systems or structural design substantiation and installations required, but having familiarity with both systems and structures is strongly preferred. Familiarity with 3D CAD (SolidWork, Catia) very helpful.
- Understanding of aircraft FAA/EASA certification processes and best practices
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must function well in a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required. Proficiency in VBA is a plus.
- Familiarity with FAR Part 23 and Part 25 certification requirements required
- Prior DER in Training experience helpful but not required
- Familiarity with working with outside vendors.
B.S. in Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of direct FAA/EASA Part 23 or Part 25 experience required.
- Must be able to pass an FAA/DOT pre-employment drug test
- Candidate must have valid US driver’s license
- Candidate must have or have the ability to obtain a US passport
- Pay commensurate with experience and skill
- Periodic travel should be expected
